By Charlie Innis (September 6, 2022, 6:39 p.m. EDT) — Two real estate companies are seeking to quickly win environmental groups’ challenge of a planned 314-acre mixed-use development on a stretch of California wetlands, saying the groups ‘ allegations have omitted that the project includes a reserve for the very species that would be threatened.
Developers Epick Homes Inc. and Bruce Road Associates LP, which are intervening defendants in the California federal case, said Friday that AquAlliance and the Center for Biological Diversity omitted key facts about the project and misinterpreted their years of efforts to obtain government approvals.
